With the new release model for Lord of the Rings, new players don’t have access to many essential player cards. The starter decks released by FFG were an amazing way to get a wider variety of player cards in the hands of new players, but there are still significant gaps in the “revised card pool.”
I have created another starter deck similar to the official ones, entirely of alt-arts so that players can print these cards with their favorite card-printing service. None of the cards included in this starter deck are included in any of the revised content, nor any of the existing starter decks, meaning that if you have only revised content all of these cards are new for you!
This deck is a thematic deck that centers on Frodo’s desperate flight to Rivendell after his confrontation with the Ringwraiths at Weathertop. The main themes that this deck brings to new players is The One Ring (from Shadow in the East) and all the Master-traited cards that come with it, as well as more pipes and cards that synergize with pipes to round out the start to that archetype that players get from the Fellowship of the Ring box.
